Cooking is a skill used to prepare food.

An unsuccessful use of cooking leaves the food you were trying to cook burnt. A burnt piece of food is a useless item you can't really do anything with. So, when you burn your food, just pitch it.

Levels 1-3

After Bryanna, the Survival Expert on Tutorial Island gives you a Net, fish for Shrimp in the pond next to her until you have advanced your Fishing skill to level 3. Then, keep catching and cooking shrimp until your Cooking skill has advanced to level 3. Remember, she will give you a net only after she has given you a tinderbox and bronze axe to learn Firemaking and Woodcutting.
